The Challenge
Research shows that better LGBTQ+ representation reduces discrimination, yet only 1% of visuals include LGBTQ+ people. Brands, media, and advertisers struggled to find authentic imagery, often relying on stereotypes, rainbow-washing, or avoiding representation altogether.
The Solution
We partnered with GLAAD to change that, launching a campaign that expanded LGBTQ+ imagery at scale. Over 20,000 new stills, videos, and illustrations were created, alongside a custom toolkit providing region-specific guidance. A task force, funding initiatives, and workshops supported creators, while a Chosen Family grant elevated underrepresented voices.
The campaign rolled out across digital platforms, helping brands tell LGBTQ+ stories with confidence and authenticity.
